I bought an Axis SS from them about 3 years ago. They wouldn't budge on their price and then *after* I gave the guy my credit card info and he put the transaction through he had the balls to call me back about an hour later and tell me he quoted me the wrong price. I had to pony up another $120. He had me over a barrel so I agreed to the difference and they sent it along.

Not that this issue had anything to do with them specifically but when I opened the case the smell almost knocked me over. It had some funky, smokey, rotten smell.

That's my one dealing with them. Never went back... I think their prices are high.

Love ya Beth. :)

Scott- I bought a NOS Sport there earlier in the year (I'm in NYC every once in a while). Didn't bond with it so I exchanged it for something else they had. There were several problems with it- they fixed a few but left a nut issue. Rather than fight I just sent it to MM to have it put back right. (This is where we insert the "MM customer service rawks" comment.)

Overall, not crazy about Royal. Way too expensive and the support's not great. Only reason I did it was that they have some crazy NOS stuff lying around. Feel free to PM me.

On the plus side ... the Sport I ended up with is phenomenal. It's not going anywhere anytime soon.

Hey guys,

Really appreciate the opinions. I was checking gbase.com and came across these guys.

Kev, was looking for an Axis if one happened to come up. Noticed they have a couple of real nice Axis'. Buddy of mine is taking a road trip to catch a Rangers game and was wondering what these guys were like. Might have tried to get my buddy to pick one up.

Beej, thanks man. I appreciate it. The local dealers have been really good to me. Going to stick with them for the next purchase.:D

Thanks

i bought an axis sport from them the same time beej did. they were nice but the price was pretty high but i figure thats my option as a customer to either make the purchase or not.

personally my experience was positive. they even were nice enough to deal with beej and i swapping guitars on em... but ya, their prices are high but if its worth it to u then thats not a factor

personally, I emailed them with a couple of questions, and got back some short, and unhelpful answers....
The inventory on their site is not accurate.

just my (limited) experience with them...

Yeah, actually this is worth mentioning- Arin and I (ok, really me) did confuse the heck out of them with the purchase we did. But they were totally cool and very accommodating. So there ya go.

No worries my man, i know that you've got all the ins and outs down. I mainly posted that for any knew Canadian Knucks who may come accross the thread. I'm so proud of our GTA dealers we really have a great bunch of shops out there, and in Canada in general. All the Music Man dealers have really jumped on board and love the guitars and basses. The guys at The Arts have a great personal collection, Glen's posted a pic' of the boys with there own Axe's(ill try and track it down)...pretty sweet stuff!!

Yep, I saw that picture, too. Very cool. The dealers around here are really good. Good bunch of guys work in the stores, too. I know the dealers are trying to push the product. We're trying to get the word out there, too.:D
