Hi,

I'm french and i sorry for my English

I would like to know why my JP6 Mystic Dream (bought in Japan) don't have a serial number engraved on the iron plate. I have a warranty with the serial number (look the picture)???

I bought a piezo/magnetic selector at high Tech Distribution (French retailer), they ask me the serial number to order the piece, i gave them the number (G15838) inscribed on the warranty and i didn' t have any problem!

After many research the serial number is the good one for my guitar. An other strange thing : you can see on the picture the MM's logo on the plate is an old one (maybe 80's)
why don' t have the actual logo ?

Is it possible to have the actual logo with my serial number engraved on a new plate?

If Yes how?

Thanks for all

Bonjour Freebird

Le mieux est d'envoyer les infos (numéro de série, nom du magazin au Japon ...) au Customer Service. Enfin en général, ils lisent les posts du forum, simplement avec le décalage horaire, attend encore quelques heures.

That is a used JP model, originally finished on July 13th, 2001. Unfortunately the warranty is no longer valid. Was it sold to you as new? From the looks of it the original neck plate had most likely been cracked and it was replaced using a Sub Style neck plate. If you have any other questions please feel free to email me:

Interesting,
I'm courious, how did this happen?

How did what happen? The neckplate crack? I'm not sure.

If your asking how it received a SUB neck plate many times we will use SUB plate as a replacement for a damaged/cracked original plate. Rather than manufacturing a new plate with a new serial number that does not match the guitars original number. Shoot me a pm if anyone has any other questions regarding this. Otherwise lets get back to having some fun :)
