Hey fellow MM guitar players. I thought it be high time, and would be fun to post our honest (friendly) thoughts about our bass player brothers on the other side of the forum.

I know there is "bit" of feuding that exists sometimes between us, but hey, after all we ARE family. So, I'll start and hopefully others will post too to show them how sincere, emotional, sentimental, and caring (uggh) we guitar players really are! Or post a "friendly" bass player joke.

We honestly love (LOL) our bass brothers, however, this is how we really feel about you guys.

1. I know you always want to be LOUDER than us (although we always get hammered from the volume complainers while you guys laugh under your breath).

2. And, you guys think you're sexier and better "dancers" than we are, why, because you play and dance to the groove!! Show off!!!!

What did the bass player say prior to being kicked out of the band?

"Hey guys, can we try one of my songs?"

Actually that's a drummer joke but it still works.

How many bass players does it take to change a light bulb?

None! They let the keyboard player do it with his right hand!

Tyler,

You must have a "special" connection to your bass players!! LOL

I think we must have the same book too, "101 jokes about bass players". I have it on my shelf right next to "101 jokes about keyboard players", which by the way is right next to (you guessed it) "101 jokes about drummers".

I wonder why there isn't a "101 jokes about guitar players"???

im in the best of both worlds... i play bass aswell. got an OLP 5-string, and it plays quite well for the price and sounds good too (which really surprised me) next up after my 2nd petrucci will be a stingray 5-string :) i love playing bass, it makes a very nice change from playing guitar.

Honestly, I've never had a conflict with a bass player in any band. There's no power without those guys. When I write songs, I like to give extra attention to writing a nice, melodic bass line that gets featured a bit. Yeah, I loves me some bass, fellers. Rock on, my fat-stringed brothers (and sisters)!

Being a guitar player I very rarely get a chance to play the bass, especially in a band situation until recently. I was invited to jam with some of the Music Man guys from SLO and handed a bass (and given the chord progression at the same time). After sitting on the root notes they felt sorry for me and gave me a guitar instead. It's an important role and not something I will ever take lightly.

Now, based on the comments previously posted, see how "caring and protective" we MM guitars players are of our MM bass brothers!!!! Look at all the nice things said!!

Remember bass brothers, we will lay down our lives (I mean guitars) for you guys. Now, I hope you all feel the same way about your guitar brothers.
