My band recently recorded Europe's "Seven Doors Hotel." It was a quick throw together to get something on our myspace page to promote a show we were doing at my college, so people would know what they were coming to hear. It turned out really nice. We would have done another take on the vocals, but we needed to finish, and we were in a makeshift situation and Amber couldn't hear herself very well, so it would have been a risk of losing the vibe, so I just kept it.

It was the first time she ever recorded anything. She had no idea how she sounds... had no idea she can sing at all really. Even after she heard it, she still freaks out when people tell her she sounds good. LOL

For all the recording nuts... drums were second take, vocals 3rd and 4th takes, guitar solo was 5th take with no punches. Guitars are double miced with a 57 and Audio Technica Pro 4l. Most rhythms double tracked as we have two guitarists, and the bass direct. The amp is a Mesa Boogie DC 3 through an Avatar 212 cabinet... Boss DD5 delay pedal and a Maxxon OD808 Tube screamer set to clean for the solos.

As for Europe... I still love those guys... old, new, in between... SO underated.

We cover 'The Final Countdown' in Rough Justice. Terrible quality clip, but you get the idea!

I like the guitar in place of keyboards bit. :) What amp are you using?

We have a live clip of Seven Doors that should be up on Youtube fairly soon... I hope anyway, I've only seen it once. lol

This is The Stoner playing the keys part. I am on the left. I think he was using a Diezel, though it could have been anything as he chops and changes all the time!

so does anyone like, dislike, dispise...? LOL ... even ever heard Europe? LOL

My fave release of their's is Out Of This World

Nothing against John Norum, but Kee Marcello absolutely shines on that record! His solo's are very melodic and the tone he got was superb.

Coast To Coast is an awesome solo! My fave is More Than Meets The Eye

I think alot of players sometimes tend to forget about melody...myself included!...lol...:p...That's cool that someone can see the Kee influence. If I was going to be compared to a certain player, I would definately want it to be Kee.
