hi forumites,

i compared my 2005 MD JP with a 2007 CBP JP of a friend and they have the same shape. but as we picked up the 2006LE and the 2007LE, we both recognized, that the LE models have a different shape compared to the regular series.

does anybody know, why the LE models (2006 and 2007) have a slightly different neckshape to the regular models?
maybe BP you can answere the question?

and there is another question:
how many 2006LE JPs have been produced, and how many 2007LE will be produced?

I'm pretty sure someone asked a question about this a while back, and I think someone mentioned it was because of the final hand sanding of the neck.

I used to own a JP that had a slightly different feel than the ones I have now. Like previously mentioned, since it's being done by hand, they will all be slightly different.

I have checked a couple of MM JPs in the shop and all of them had slightly different necks. But the difference was really small and it would be for me hard to notice that if I wouldn't check all the guitars at the same time.
