Hey kids

Here is a little history for you. I've been thinkin a lot about my Dad lately. I guees that never goes away.

THis is a photo of my dad in 1954 outside his teaching studio. He sold electric guitars there and taught all day. He was 24 in this photo. He even had accordian lessons (but he didnt teach them.

My father was a self taught man and a natural teacher. Many say he taught more great guitarists than any teacher in LA. His Phase one books have sold in the multi millions.
He made learning fun. He even taught Karate for awhile.

He was driven and focused. He always looked at thing sharply. Jim Dunlop still says the sortest distance between two points is Ernie Ball.......

HEre is the shot that started it all.........

actually a little emotional.

I can understand that.

I don't have much of a relationship with my dad now, but there are times when I see an old photo and it does bring a lot of things back.

It's great that you have the link to your roots and a respect for the drive that your dad had. Hewn from the same rock is a good description I think.

Great, pictures and memories are always worth more then anything! Feelings inside make them precious. It just crossed my mind and I thought to share it with you.

Right now, I'm really happy that I'm waiting for a call from my EB dealer so soon I'll be able to become a part of the family :)

best,
Mike

How cool, BP. Truly.

Fall has always and in all cultures been the time of year when departed ancestors play strongly in our heads and hearts. My Dad has been on my mind a lot lately too. A good, honest and hard working man.
