Hey kids

Here is a little history for you. I've been thinkin a lot about my Dad lately. I guees that never goes away.

THis is a photo of my dad in 1954 outside his teaching studio. He sold electric guitars there and taught all day. He was 24 in this photo. He even had accordian lessons (but he didnt teach them.

My father was a self taught man and a natural teacher. Many say he taught more great guitarists than any teacher in LA. His Phase one books have sold in the multi millions.
He made learning fun. He even taught Karate for awhile.

He was driven and focused. He always looked at thing sharply. Jim Dunlop still says the sortest distance between two points is Ernie Ball.......

HEre is the shot that started it all.........

You definitely have reason to be proud...both in your father's accomplishments and in what you are doing to build on what your father started.

Awesome pic BP. Your dad may be gone from this world, but you have been blessed greatly for sure ;).

Thanks for sharing - cool insight into the history of the company and BP's personal history.

I am sure Ernie Ball would be very proud of the position his company occupies today and where it is going ....

Love the car too - they dont make 'em like that anymore!

That is so cool.

It's an odd feeling, isn't it? To look at photos of your father when he was way younger than you are now?

Man BP, that is an awesome shot. I love seeing historical stuff like that. It is obvious how much you cared about your dad. I am sure he would be proud of what you have accomplished today.

Thanks for sharing that, Sterling. Let us see more if you have them.

My dad will be gone a year this month. Mmf. Rough.

I do want you to know your friendship is a cherished one, sir. And everyone else's here! Quite so.

Cool photo. I'm sure EB had no idea what he was setting in motion when opened that shop. I'm sure he would be proud of you BP and of what you and the "guys" have done with "his" company.

By the way, it would make a great T-shirt. In fact, the photo would look good on a string package.
