Somebody remember the Simpson's episode "Missionary: Impossible"? The show in that episode "Do Shut Up" on PBS?

I tried to find a clip, couldn't find one damn it!:(

It is so fun to drink beer with the Aussies. English has been much muddled over the regions and ages

Reading is the poorest of all skills in music today.

I am not good at math but I say it all adds up.

I was going to send BP the following PM, but after reading this thread, I'm starting to think that maybe it's not the best idea...what do you think?

Dear Big Poppa,

Once, a few years ago, I spent some money on one of your products, so I would really appreciate it if you could answer some questions with which I have been struggling, because, obviously, you owe me big time. Here goes:

When I restring my bass, does it make a difference which end the little ball/ringie thing goes on?

How old are the trees that you cut down to make your basses? Do any squirrels live in them, and, if so, do you have to find them new homes?

I understand that your company also makes strings. Is this true? If so, can you tell me which ones are best for hanging up my picture of dogs playing poker?

What's the weather like where you are?

What's this I hear about a six string Bongo? I thought basses only had four strings; please explain why you want to make one with six. SR5: same question.

How come no one ever PMs me? Is it something I've said?

How do I tell this girl I like her?

How do I keep the neighborhood kids out of my "vegetable" patch?

Boxers or briefs? (Please show your work.)

How do I appeal a restraining order?

How do you remove tough grass stains from your delicate whites?

I've got to go back in the house now, they're calling us for nap time, but I have many, many more questions that you must answer for me immediately, so I'll be in touch! (Don't forget--you owe me!)

Sincerely, Your Close Personal Friend, Dr. Nick

It's not like he has anything else to do though, right? Right?

Tom Waits style ....

"I’ve always kind of been partial to calling myself up on the phone and asking myself out. Well, one thing about it, you’re always around!

Yeah, you ask yourself out, you know. Some class joint somewhere. The Burrito King or something. You know… Well, I ain’t cheap, you know. Take yourself out for a couple of drinks maybe, you know. Then you’ll be… some provocative conversation on the way home. And park in front of the house, you know, and you… Oh yeah, you’re smooth with it… you know, you put a little nice music on. Maybe you put on like… you know… like shopping music, something that’s not too interruptive, you know. And then, you know, and eh… slide over real nice, you know, say, ‘Oh, I think you have something in your eye’. Eh-heh-heh.

Well, maybe it’s not that romantic with you, but Christ, I… you know! It ain’t… you know… Take myself up to the porch, and take myself inside. Oh, maybe… I make a little something, a brandy snifter or something. Would you like to listen to some of my back records. I got something here…

Well, usually about 2.30 in the morning you’ve ended up taking advantage of yourself and… there ain’t no way around that, you know. Yeah, making the scene with a magazine, there ain’t no way around… I’ll confess, you know, I’m no different, you know. I’m not weird about it or anything. I don’t tie myself up first, I just… you know. I just kind of… spend a little time with myself."

To which I say, "you're missing out on a lot of the fun that way."

So, Mark, I take it you were bored at work today also? (or was it early evening or sometime next Thursday down there Antipodes way?)

Happy Thanksgiving, my friends!

Oh, by the way: Paper or Plastic?
