So I went to the GC sale here in Tucson (where my in-laws live) and picked up this used gem for 20% off. What did you guys find, if anything?

Nice one!!

Should I be lusting after a fretless? I can't play the guitar, so God knows how awful I'd be on a blank plank...

The LGC (local Guitar Center) kept the 20% off deal all day. But still the MMs were all there (along with the Warwicks and Fenfers). Nobody was buying the $1K and up instruments but the usual suspects (soccer moms and doting dads w/ kids) were all over the entry level pieces.

Oh and nobody played Higher Ground.

Cool fretless. Icky PG.

Most of the GC purchases I saw were lower level guitars. However, I did see someone buy a beautiful Gibson Gold Top and I congratulated him.

Hi Beth

It's E48489.

Ok Mark -- what color do you think? The bass is a little more red than showing in the pic.

I'm thinking tort.

OK, Rex.

E48489 is a StingRay 3EQ in RADIANCE RED, fretless unlined matching, black ice pickguard. Alas, you get your wish! :)
