Andy,

Not sure what you're saying?? On your cab it should have a single out and a single in. Can you hook (it); what is "it" the cab or the head? What did you mean "two 8 ohm what"? Are you wanting to "combine cabs" or split a "single" cab?

If your using two seperate 16 ohm cabs, set your head to 8 ohms. If a single 16ohm cab combined with a single 8 ohm cab, set your head to 8 ohm. Two 8 ohm cabs, set your head to 4 ohm.

Not sure if this helps!

since its 16 ohms mono, could i hook it up to two 8 ohms instead of just 1 16 ohms? Or how exactly would this setup work?

Do not do anything until you/we understand what you have first. I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but it sounds like you're thinking of connecting an amp set for 16ohms to two 8ohm cabs.

If you connect two 8ohm cabs to your amp, the resulting impedance will probably be 4ohms, NOT 16...depending on how the cabs are wired. You could hurt something if you don't have this sorted out.

I just looked at the PDF link you posted.....it's very simple....set the amp for 16ohms and plug into either input on the cab, they are wired in parallel, so either one will work, they are the same.
The reason there are 2 inputs in parallel is for "daisy chaining" another cab.

Do you have/want 2 cabs? If not, don't sweat anything, just set the amp for 16 and plug into either input on the cab.

Ok, sorry about the confusion. I have a head that has 2 outputs, 60 watts from each, its a Vox AD120VTH. Mine has a switch that i can change it from 4 ohms to 8 ohms to 16 ohms. I understand that one 16 ohms channel can go to the cab, but from my head that would only be 60 watts. I was just wondering if there was a way to plug both channels to the cab to get the full 120 watts into it.

Ok, now I understand. I checked out the amp, and it is stereo! Basically, it has 2 power amps, 60W each. In order to use both power sections (to get the full 120watts) you'll need either 2 of those Peavy cabs, or a different cab that has stereo capability...like the Marshall 4x12. I used to use a stereo rack rig (still have it). If I want to use both channels of the power amp, I have to switch my Marshall 4x12 cab to stereo, and plug each channel into one side of the cab. This means that the left 2 speakers are one channel, and the right 2 speakers are the other channel.

Alright that makes sense. Thank you Adwex! Shame I can't use all the power in that one cab... but a good excuse to by a second one! The Peavy cab confused me since it had two inputs but yet still said mono. But this explains it now. Again thanks for the help!
