Yeahh!!! Tell him Johnny!

When are you gonna let us hear these masterpieces??

You guys rant and rave over how "unimaginable" these tops are (and rightly so), and then you vanish into thin air!!!

What did you guys do, bury em"??

I actually made some recording of cleans through my PodXT to do a comparison between the BFR and the 'regular' JP6. Not sure of the best way to get them up here though, and I also don't know whether I'd do these wonderful guitars justice!

BFR Luke Sound Clips

Sorry it's taken so long...I've finally prepared some audio clips of my BFR Luke.

Firstly: please forgive the quick-and-dirty recording. Secondly: please excuse my clunky, sloppy, mistakes-included-for-your-amusement playing  (I'm no shredder!).

The guitar was recorded through a preamp then straight into the sound card. I didn't use a guitar amp or an effects units. There has been no processing done other than adding some reverb (reverb covers a multitude of sins ;) )

These clips demo the potential for "clean" on a BFR Luke. The first sample ("Midnight") is played using the neck pickup. The second sample ("Lady Madonna") is played using the middle pickup. The third sample is a re-recording of "Lady Madonna" using pickup position 4 for comparison. (This song sounds best on an acoustic guitar but I thought it might be fun to try on the BFR.)

You can hear the clips here: DL's Ernie Ball MusicMan Ruby Burst BFR Luke.

david great playing thats 1 of my fav satch songs u did it justice

Thank you...I'm flattered...perhaps my ears are too (self) critical cause I hear all the dodgy bits (LOL)!

But I gotta say, the Luke makes that song so much easier to play than anything else I tried!

I posted a couple a while back:

A lead clip:

A couple of cleans:

My studio PC went down and I may have lost a lot of data, so I've been struggling piecing everything back together this Thanksgiving weekend. If I get it back up and running I'll try to record more.

paul

wow, thats some nice stuff you got on that clip. You can just tell it's a JP. very distinctive tone. good job!!

David, nice job on the clips. I take it you're a TE fan then?

Yes! Love his work. Mr Emmanuel is on my growing list of guitarists who make me feel completely inadequate as a guitarist :D ! Then again, my mate's 15-year old son is now on that same list!!! ;) But hey...it's fun *trying* to play this stuff!
