I found a great Christmas gift for my wife's uncle:

I feel a bit slow today. Is this an inside joke I'm missing? Does he play, or are you just hoping that he won't have a use for them and ask you if you want them? :p

Strings are always a great gift, if you know what the receiver uses. There's always at least a couple sets of Super Slinks in every gift I gift to my son.

He plays, and I played some of his stuff over the holidays, and he needs some new strings for sure. Seemed like the perfect gift idea to me.

cool gift :) Because I was born on December 20th, I celebrate my birthday and x-mas as one, mainly because on the past my parents couldn't afford for 2 separate gifts and If I were given by such pack of strings (but 10-52 gauge) I'd be very very very happy :D so I think it's great idea! Of course it's always good to get such presents as Wonder Wipes set (fretboard, strings and body polish) or cool t-shirt with your favorite guitar/amp manufacture...but some strings sets seem to be perfect!

I agree totally then! Those boxes are cool. I've collected a few different versions from my exploits down to Pete's place. Now one of them holds the sets from the desert with our forum ids on them!
