i know while touring with vh in the early 90's evh sent jerry some guitars and amps. this evh in this video is awesome and havent seen it before. i knew jerry had a amber one and a red one but this blue is killer. i think all of ebmm's blue colors are to die for. enjoy.

I came across these two videos by chance today and was just about to post a thread, but a quick search proved that I was a few months late, so I'll resuscitate this one. As a teen in the 90's, Alice in Chains were my favourite band. They were the only band at the time that I thought could stand alongside the greats of the past, and 15 years on, I think I've been proved right. To this day whenever anyone asks me what my favourite song of all time is, I answer Would? without hesitation. That song never fails to floor me, even after the countless times I've heard it. It'd be great to see Jerry crack out his old EVH's (or even a new Axis SS?) for a song or two on the next tour.

Some more vids for your viewing pleasure-

Would? - Live in Brazil, 1993 (featuring the blue EVH again)

Angry Chair - To my knowledge, the only official AIC video featuring the EVH (blink and you miss it :D)

Yep,

GREAT Band.

I actually prefer FACELIFT :

Some awesome tunes there too (We Die Young, Bleed the Freak, Man In a Box)

DIRT is still awesome too.

Don't forget Love, Hate, Love, Cantrell kills those solos!

But if I'm to be honest, if I'm listening to an album from beginning to end, I'll usually reach for Jar of Flies. Must be getting soft in my old age:eek:

growing up in seattle during 'the day' and seeing all of those dudes is special as I look back. being 21 and poor and hearing some music at the local clubs was amazing. then I would see them at the local tav having a beer they were my neighbors. just cool dudes. AIC is missed.

AIC went on tour with Velvet Revolver this summer, and they did some acoustic shows. Obviously without Lane Staley, but the guy they have singing with them has been doing a pretty good job.

Alice in Chains opened up for VH on the 1991 tour. I'm sure Eddie had some influence on him to try his EBMM signature guitars. And once he did Cantrell was like:cool::cool:

What I don't get is, how can you switch to something else after playing an EBMM:confused:;)
