Not worth any sort of resources... think of what else you can buy for that money... consider the added costs for replacement parts... you'll probably get a new one ordered to specs

Whats done is done. There is a fine line between being creativity and being destructive. And I do believe that line was crossed. Experiments like this should only be conducted on those mass produced Chinese basses.

My plan of sorts is that if I have some extra cash lying around after christmas I will make him an offer, far from even the new asking price. I figure I can scrounge up the parts needed for a couple 100 and then I think it might be kind of fun trying to rescue it
But we'll see, I don't generally have money to spare and the guy probably thinks the asking price is real low as it is.
