My new Ball (20th Silo Content)

If I don't like it I suppose I'll go with a D-Sonic or something, but I'd like to stick with something chrome covered that can do metal and DT stuff.

Also, the D-sonic sounds very very good in the 20th (especially along with an Air Norton in the neck). Trust me! :

By the way, when I posted this thread I knew you'd like the pics . I think when the Air Norton comes in, I might put that in the neck or just send it back and put a D-Sonic in the bridge and keep the stock neck PU (I kinda like it), especially if those covers will work.

You could still get one. I know Pete has a regular one still I think, and there's like 9 GC stores that have them when I checked a week ago.

Thanks, glad to be part of it. I'm playing it right now and I can't believe how amazing the piezo sounds on this beauty. The resonance is just ridiculous. Its like the ideal clean sound. And you don't even need a chorus pedal! Haha. If this guitar just came with a piezo and no magnetic pickups I'd be satisfied.

There are a few reasons I didn't get a 20th with piezo--not that I didn't/don't want one. The trade-offs in my head went something like this.

At the time, I had tried one 20th Silo. I bought it, because I thought it was super. I didn't want to take a chance on losing out on having it. The 20ths with piezo that Pete had at the time, well...they were unknown commodities on a relative basis. Then, I also thought, if they ever make something like the BFR JP, well...I could have the piezo there.

It was all about not having enough money at the time for both the one I bought and one of the ones with piezo at DuBaldo Music. One day, I hope that I'll have both the money and the opportunity to scoop up one of those 20ths with piezo.

I love the stock neck pickup. Sounds almost like a single coil sometimes, but it can get nice and meaty too. Very cool.

As long as people are showing their 20ths, I guess I'll play too.

So I found out that one of those chrome covers can't be installed on the D-Sonic cuz of the rail. So I'm gonna try out an Air Norton in the bridge, and if I don't like it, I'll put a D-Sonic in the bridge and use the Air Norton for the neck I think.
