"Mickey" by Toni Basil

Do I dare utter such a blasphemy in Lord Bongo's presence! I fear not!

How about,

She Aint Pretty (She Just Looks That Way) - Northern Pikes

or,

Keep Your Hands To Yourself - Georgia Sattelites

Both seem like good "drunk chick from Winnipeg standing by the speaker dancing with herself" type songs.

Some Kind of Wonderful - Grand Funk Railroad
Takin Care of Business - Bachman Turner Overdrive
Rosalita - Springsteen (only if you're from Joisey from the 70's, though - otherwise it won't work:p)

Re the 40-50's set dancin to CCR - being of that vintage, m'self, the key is it makes you dance like you're 20 again.....

(.....in your head, at least!;))

Jodi and I shared our fondness for Ace of Base on the way home from work tonight. We talked about other dance-worthy songs the whole way home.... not once did Benny Lava come up....

And Ace of Bass?

Funny, though, before they became popular (aiyyy, those were dark days) I was listening to a college station out of Santa Cruz, I think. I was working in Monterey at the time. And this guy played that song "All She Wants Is Another Baby".

The song ended and there was this long, long pause - dead air.

Finally, the guy says, "Dang! What a mess!"

Then he played some Cure and everyone felt better.

If you have a discussion about fabulous dance tunes and dont put benny lava at the top of the list its back in the kitchen

I'm going to try to convince my family that it's a Christmas tune. I want them to learn it with me.

I, I got a new life
You would hardly recognize me I'm so glad
How could a person like me care for you?
Why, why do I bother
When you're not the one for me
OooOooo, is enough enough?? TAKE THAT

Also, to MY favorite list .. I'd have to add Creep by TLC

Jodi would look REAL good as a waitress at Denny's.

Mmm, Denny's.

(Hey, if I'm getting a lump of coal anyway, you know?)

Jodi has a good job! And her services are much more utilized saving the world one guitar at a time....rather than looking after somebodies Rootie Tootie Fresh and Frutie(or is that Ihop?) either way.......Jodizzles sizzle is best when kept on the downizzle for we wouldn't want Dennys to try and shizzle their grizzle by soliciting Jodizzle ! :)
