Working out definitely helps. I think my SR5 actually weighs closer to 10.5 lbs. Maybe I should start exercising regularly? Hehe.

This bass is tight!! I love the HS combo very punchy and a great DUB tone. Needless to say the LMII was returned today...not my cup of tea...but it does sound killer through my Thunderfunk/Bergantino rig:eek:

Could you describe the "not my cup of tea" feeling a bit better? It would be helpful to have a comparison of the MarkBass and Eden amps you had there, since the what-amp-and-cab-to-use-for-a-musicman discussion came up a couple of times recently.

I never liked the Eden tone or there customer service. The markbass was good just not as good as my Thunderfunk to my ears. Being that said everyone has different ideas of the perfect tone. In my head the Thunderfunk w/ the Stingrays are a perfect match and Dave Funk is a super cool dude

You can get them used (ThunderFunk heads) on another popular bass forum's classifieds. A couple pop up every few months. They are releasing a new model, the 750 so TF fans are selling their 550's so they can get a 750. There is a long waiting list if you try to buy one new. It's basically a guy making them as he gets orders in. By no means a large business with a hefty production line. It's boutique all the way. They do sound awesome matched with EB basses. I have a 550 and love it. I am going to get a MarkBass combo for rehearsals and smaller gigs.

Very nice! Tort it though...then you'd be close to the one in my combo...but of course I have the much improved upgraded rosewood fretboard ;)

Question, what all do you have on your rig? I see the LMII of course, but what is everything else?

Oli, before there was ThunderFunk there was G*bson amp called 440, didn't sell much I guess 'cause who'd want a G*bson bass amp? Anyway, that's designed by the same guy, and the TF amps (used to be) just about identical to the G*ibson. A good catch if you ask me:)

hey Joey, we're not sure if you can be trusted alone with the kidz whilst tyour wife is out working, but what's in your favour is that you're showing them how to look for quality and how to make good choices:cool::)

meanwhile, congrats on some fine choices and great gear, play in good health and
all the bass, to you and your family,
/PL:)

update

Still have the same basses and the same cab. I decided that I missed my old DB750 so I got it back and sold the thunderfunk!

A pic of my son w/ my rig:

Thanks for that hint...

...G*bson amp called 440 [...] that's designed by the same guy [...] good catch if you ask me:)

...and this additional info.

But I already made up my mind on the MarkBass F1. That one would be hard to beat in the weight/power ratio by pretty much anything out there.

Does anyone have a black HS pickguard that they would trade for my white one?

She didn't even notice. All of my bass fit under our bed and when I take one out to play she never even said anything. She doesn't even notice if I get a new tattoo or not. We are married almost 9 years I guess she is too busy w/ our kids to notice or give a rats ass.:D

Hmm well I did have my KL bass on the stand for about 4 hours before she noticed it was there.......but my new wife plays guitar so she generally notices everything hehe....
