Hey Peter,

I'm having a crisis here could you pls help a poor lame ex-rehab patient become a PiezoLover again ... ;)
sometime last year I rec'd an email from Tom about a 20th SR5 you were getting in stock and for a smokin' price ... you still have that bass kicking around ... ? is it "spoken for yet?
my crisis is that I still can't wiggle fingers and I'm thinking of "speaking" for that 20th SR5 if you have it and can you give me the specs on iy pls ? quilt, California Sunset ... single H ... matching headstock ... rosewood ???

it's burning a hole in my head thinking about it and so far it's the only thang that will get my mind off of an '08 LE BONGO 6er and I need to get sum sleep:) I still have to organize funbding and I'm still working on begging for authorization from my Sweetheart, but I think she'll see it in the proper light and vote 20th when the time comes ... it will take me sum time, but I thought I'd better get my thinking out in the open here first to give sum s"steam" to the idea ... I can update yiou with my phone and email by PM...:)

meanwhile, I wunner if forumitez support the idea of a rehab boy / fanboy becoming a new 20th owner lover even without wiggling fingers:confused::)
sumthing just seemed to say "don't let that 20th get away and live a life of regrets
:D:)
What sez everybody? help me out here pleez;):)
all the basseverybody,

I say, without hesitation, go for it! It can only be a positive thing, in motivating those fingers to wiggle again, once they feel that fine wood. Could be just the tactile jumpstart they need to get those brain signals flowin! =)

Hey Peter,
YOU got a good memory ... of course I was in rehab whining about missing out on an'07 LE and now you spring this news on me after I've wrestled so hard with myself about a 20th ... how could I refuse ... I still need to get more muscles twitching and I've stiil got to get my money in order, since I haven't seen a paycheck since last March .... but a Bongo5HSP in sparkly '07 LE clrs is irresistable ... I'll keep in touch and hope to get driving my car again soon to pay you a visit and put a deposit for "perusal" in your hands and thanx for the tip on L&M, but thanx anyway .. I'll put my focus on coming out to see you about the HSP '07 LEBONGO on the basis that it's really the only bass that I lusted so bad for last year and that could really keep my mind off a 20th for decades to come ... and I've alresdy mentioned it to SWeethheart and she's leaving it up to me:) What a dear she is:cool::) and what do you think gang? about what a cool guy psychic pet is who'd refer me to the big corporate store downtown to help me possibly land a 20th ... how could I not get my next bass and my first BONGO from Peter, I mean is that a class act or not ... right in the true spirit of Big Poppa and the entire EBMM hometeam:cool::)

now, how's a guy supposed to concentrate on hockey whenthere's an '07 LE BONGO5 HSP to dream about and lust for ... even with limp muscles?
all the bass everyone,
/PL:)

sleepless nights

Hey Peter,
durn you anywaze,

Allz I can think of now is a BONGO5 HSP '07 LE ... I'm so close to "pulling the trigger" it's scaring me, cuz I really need to think rationally about making such an investment in my present condition:confused: but, thanx for keeping me awake all night :)
all the bass,
/PL:)
Hey, BP,HeyJack, Hey Strummer ... what do youZthink ... is a BONGO5 a good catch?? will I be Happy again, and especially since it has a Piezo and comes in '07 LE clrs:)
No, I'm not doubting ... the thang is, my accountant requires me to do my due diligence, especially in my weakened rehab and unemployed condition at least I need to be able to say to him " hey Mr.Beancounter, this is an actual MusicMan BONGO bass and a true instrument of love and beauty, and an '07 LE in all it's splendor:cool: and not sumthing to be thought of in terms of mere money ... and, YES, I've been assured by folks in-the-know that it's also a fine investment worthy of making serious sacrifices for.:)
and, Psychicpet wouldn't offer it to me if he wasn't sure it's all good for me ... I mean, this is EBMM "family, we're talking about and this is "Family biznuss"

Here is the delicate balance.....

Do I tell you to be patient...(you haven't heard that much...Ehh? I added the ehh for you canadians)
and tell you that what ever you need to find I will help you with..or that if we are worth a damn there will always something to get pzolovin gas over....

or do I tell you to go for the single h bongo with the pzo.....the big poppa model with the pzo .....REmember I am a real man and play four strings though.....

Whatever you think that you need to continue feeling good my friend

setting my sights down MusicMan avenue

Hey Peter, thanx for your work and generosity,
&Hey Strummer, thanx for your feedback and encouragement,
&Hey BP, thanx for your wisdom and encouragement and support / guidance
in all likelihood, there's an '07 LE BONGO5 HSPin my future
AND there's quite likely even a second BONGO on the distant horizon, a 4 string HP to be searched for according to BPspecs, but I'm not betting on a colour yet ... possibly Desert Gold ???
this is all getting to be quite exciting and all I have to do is get more recovery including wiggling sum fingers ...:)

here at YE OLde FOlkes Inn, I'm starting to walk forth and back to the dining room to build more strength and better endurance ... better than toodling the manual wheelchair which forces me to twist in the seat and wear myself out and inhibit proper recovery, by giving the brain wrong signals about normal posture according to my physiotherapist ... tomorrow is another hit of BOTOX to try reducing the stiffmness in the left leg which is inhibiting walking, and hopefully, in a couple more weeks I'll have a new custom fit ankle orthotic also to help walking and as for "patience", BP, you're so right, according to another recovering stroke patient I spoke with recently who told me it took her 2 years to get her limp arm working again, and 1 year to get past her "aphasia" speech impairment, which , fortunately, I never suffered ... so, here I sit, plugging away at my own recovery and dreaming about 2 new BONGOs :)and also about becoming more of a "real man" by improving my 4 string playing, although, in my heart, I still love 5ers and especially my SR5s and eventually I hopea newBONGO ... I landed a new gig a couple of weeks ago :)(subject to more recovery, of course ... a father/daughter duo called "The Romps" were here doing a birthday party and I got hooked during some Hank and Elvis covers and after the gig, I spoke with Dad and advised him, that he just hired himself a new bass player ... there are lots of gigs in town on the "Senior" circuit ... they're not big money, but they're fun and the environments are usually clean, quiet and dry and the audiences love the tunes and are usually quite appreciative ... having been a "shut-in" myself, I've really appreciated the music and the contact with the musicians who work this market ... I never would have thought of Care Homes and hospitals as a tour circuit ... but it's there and I'm happy to be in the audience when my situation allows it and I'll be happier to play in the band when circumstances permit me to ... needless to say, I'm really itchin' to PzoLove again, the sooner the better.

enough of me rattling on ... BIG Thanx again to everybody and all forumitez for all your support and encouragement as I trudge on along recovery road ... this part of the project is the "real life" portion of post discharge outpatient rehab and to get back to more relevant stuff for bass players ... I'm starting to think about getting into Beaver Felton's instructional materials ... has anybody here subscribed and can you'zall recommend them for a rehabboy who wants to play more like a "real man" ... just before my cva, I was sitting once a week with a bass coach / local pro and he had me working on Jamie Abersole stuff which I found quite interersting but I know I have a lot of more practicing and improvement to do, once I get functioning better with both hands working.

OK, I'll shutup now

all the bass,
/PL:)
