I GOT MY NEW BONGO TODAY!!!! this is my first EBMM and I have some questions

The action is higher than I am used to even after I set it up. when I look down the neck, it is in a wave instead of a uniform bow so the result is that when the 11th fret and below are playing nicely, the 12 fret to the 15th fret buzz and choke the notes like crazy and when I try to remedy that with truss rod and action, the strings become too high.

to be honest it was a little disappointing cos I saved up all year for this bass but I'm sure it will have great things i store for me. I absolutely love the sound!!

thanks in advance!

If it's new (not sure by how you phrased your post), you need to talk to your dealer before calling Customer Service.

They're the first link in the chain and should be able to get your bass set up properly.

basses are wood. climate changes etc will get the neck moving.

unfortunately it sounds like you got a not so good setup. as jack said, id suggest you ask your dealer (if they're local) to hook you up with a better setup. if theyre an online dealer or for some reason they cant id recommend you find the best local repair shop and get a setup.

a so-so or crappy setup is just a millimeter to 2 away from a really good one

Unless you are qualified, you should likely not venture beyond minor truss rod adjustments. Make sure you read the FAQ Section on this site for set-up directives.

well I have let it sit in my room set at 75 degrees F for about 4 hours and now I am starting to see that starting at the 16th fret, the frets look like they drop off all of a sudden in a downward slope. so now we have 2 peaks to the wave...

bovinehost- I got the bass new.

and to clarify, I didn't not move the truss rods much at all because I felt I lacked the proper tools to move them.

Update: I found out from a local store that the G string side of the neck is straight as an arrow and the E string side is warped. Talked to BassCentral and we agreed that it would be best to send it to EBMM to get it fixed completely rather than just adjusting around the problem.

I am very reluctant to send this thing off... it sounds absolutely amazing!!!!!!
