There was a LONG thread on forumites' pick choices, but I wasn't able to locate it for you. I started using the Jazz III's (black) as a result of the thread, and have been most happy with them since.

Sorry, can't help with info on EB picks.

hmmm.... the Jazz III is not something i would use, i like something like the fender fender medium feel but i want something with more of a tip like the jim dunlop picks, but i gota try EB picks before i make my final decision..

It's definitely improved my right hand technique. Now a Fender med. feels like a ceiling fan. :D

I use Jazz III when I play lead or doing improv. Ultex when I play rhythm.

Pete graciously gave me a pack of them at the desert bash.

I loved the back Jazz IIIs but they were too darn slippery (I would drill holes in them to stick to my fingers). The Ultex ones have a much better grip, in a form factor I'm used to.

I have yet to try the Ultex Jazz IIIs. I should pick up a pack next time I'm at Guitar Center.

i agree the ultex are the best of the jazz IIIs i also think they might be just a bit bigger than the standard jazz III

Cool. Will have to try them. Surprisingly, I don't have much trouble holding onto them, as with the slipperier Fender meds. At first they'd turned counterclockwise on me, but not much now.

Btw, I forwarded some of those wild picks you sent me to my son. The bass player in his band especially liked those gigantic clear ones. :)
