So i just picked up a used EBMM Sub 1 yesterday. Black finish, black pickguard, Seymour duncan screaming demon in the bridge, seymour duncan jazz in the neck. this thing screams! I play it through a mesa dual rec into a crate blue voodoo 4x12 with uk celestion vintage 30's.

i've got a host of other guitars and have played a few ebmm's in my life but never had one wow me like this one. the neck is beautiful, the frets are the perfect size (as i hate train track frets). I usually don't like seymour duncan pickups but they go very well with this guitar. I love the 5 bolt neck, much less to worry about than the Gibs0n's i've also got (those are armed up with emg's), not as pretty clean as my F3nder tele thinline, but definitely a great in between tone wise.

just wanting to introduce my self and say how much i love my new guitar.

yeah i'll try taking some pics tonight or tomorrow. kinda poor right now as i just got a new car as my last band van died but who knows, if i find another one of these sub's i might sell off another sg. i am quite curious of what the stock pickups sounded like but i love this one just as is.

as well these are very scarce up where i am. other than guitar center which i despise. there really isn't any other dealers around.

hoping for more used ones to come my way.

thank you all for your warm welcoming.

hey, now that you have a Musicman, you should be 1st guitarist for Mongrel, not second!! :D

yeah, i'm only the second because i joined a few months ago and the other guitarist has been there for three years. i'm definitely a much more technical and skilled guitarist than he is. that's why i'm playing my ebmm, gibs0ns, and F3nders into a mesa dual rec. while he is playing agile les paul copies into a marshall jcm2555 into a peavey cab.

he he he.

we'll see

we'll see on getting a second one. i've still got to figure out where it's comfortable on a strap yet as i was struggling with it all night last night at practice. it's very comfortable when i'm sitting down but i've just got to figure out where it's supposed to be when i'm standing (much different than the gibbys and f3nders i've owned)

oh any idea where to get the whammy bar for it. it didn't come with one and all the ones i've come across don't fit.

Give customer service a call for the whammy bar - they will set you right!
