Hi Fellas,
I apologize if this has been done to death, but I am trying to come back to the "Club" ( I have been without my Balls for sometime now!)but I am having a hard time deciding which model to get. I have always wanted a black maple fretboard Stingray and can get a great deal on either the H or the HH model. So my question is, in the #1 position (closest to the bridge) does the HH sound just like the Stingray H? Thank you in advance...

The general consensus has been that they are extremely close...probably no more different than the difference between any two given Stingray Hs.

I personally cannot hear any difference, especially when my two guitarist light up their Marshalls.

Having that front pickup and the switch is a godsend..or...Poppasend...

FWIW, I don't think there's much difference, either. Certainly nothing you'd notice in the middle of "Free Bird".
