Those prices are damn low! I guess I will keep ours unplayed in the vault for a few more years, warm and snug in the plastic baggie inside the case inside the box that swallowed the spider that swallowed the fly....
Keith, why not issue wonder wipes to the staff?it goes without saying that some KFC-encrusted hands could obviously use washing prior to handling the instruments
Keith great reply....nearly two years old of customers banging away on it. I always have to remind people that the guitar center employees dont deface the instruments the customers do....some even scratch and ding and then complain about the quality of GC's stock.......
If they didnt let people play then they would be nice but we wouldnt sell any.
I've often wondered if GC keeps pristine versions of what they demo in backstock, or if what is hanging (and demo'd) is what you get.
Great idea! In effect, that's how new cars are sold - the customers get to test drive a demo model only, with the "real" new car untouched until somebody buys it.
So, GC could have a Bongo, Sterling and Stingray within reach on the floor for the kids to trash, with pristine stock stored out of harm's way in the back room. I know if I were test driving a new bass I would prefer to know that when I plonked down my cash that I would be getting something new rather than a bass with 500 miles on the clock.

There is a 30th in Towson, MD for about $835 and is in good condition. They are not letting the cases go with them, you will need to negotiate, but you should buy the case The bases I saw were not in bad condition, really.
Well... it's on the way out of there now.$839 + $140 for the 30th case shipped 2800 and some odd miles on their dime. Thanks for the heads up.
