I was working on this a few years ago as a collaboration between me and a friend, a guitar player in Nashville....thus it's missing some real guitar work (mine was a scratch track, really) and the lead break is curiously empty.....anyway, I FREAKIN' LOST THIS THING about four years ago and had no idea what had become of it!

It's a one man band thing (not planned, just happened) and it is what it is because I no longer know where the work copy is....so I'm afraid it will NEVER be finished, but WTF, you guys post stuff and I never do because I'm lazy.

So, in all its half-assed glory:

We did this in coWpilot, of course, but then there were other guys available to actually play their instruments.

Enjoy anyway!

Thanks!

I was really just trying to figure out one of those Roland VR digital 8 tracks, way back when those were cutting edge.

I never did figure it out, effin' thing. Now it's worth about 20 bucks, I bet.

I like it!
My very first concert --on my 12th birthday!

The Monkees, I couldn't get tickets to Cowpilot.

The engineer at the show ran tape of the concert that night and I have a copy.

Jack, your version is WAY better.

They really sucked.

But it was fun...and that's a great song.(If you need backup vocals, let me know.)

That gives me an idea---a forumite recording?

Hey, thanks, Kenneth. I've grown to loathe the sound of my voice, but when there's no one else around to do it.....you can't MIDI up a vocal track, you know?

Jack you need to post up some more originals. I dig "Jody" and "You are Mine".. got any more like those?

There's this old one:

I was purposefully trying to write a "normal" song to see what would happen.

Again, for better or worse, a one-man-band production from around 1993-94, I think.

Jack

BTW, Steve - thanks! I wish some of you guitar players lived closer. I need a freakin' band.

Thanks, Jack! Listening as I type. Good stuff. I'd love to jam with you, but I'm a bit far. I did come to Dallas for your B-day.. mine is Feb 26, so you can return the visit in exactly one week and 12 years! ;-)
