Brian's great but he's a one trick pony.
Luke is a versatility monster!!!
Vote cast.

Brian one trick pony? Have you listened to very much Queen? Blues, metal, folk, jazz (in multiple forms), country, RnB, classical, funk... Queen I alone has more crazy stuff on it than most band's careers, and no one was doing the 32nd note runs he does on "Jesus" back then, or the riffing on "Keep Yourself Alive" and "Great King Rat."

I don't know if Brian is as good as Luke, but a one trick pony he is NOT. I'm pretty sure Luke would find that to be an odd statement too.

I think that Foggy might just be saying that Brian May has stuck with Queen (although he has done some solo stuff), as opposed to Lucious, whose studio work for a very wide range of musicians is legendary.
I agree that Queen's stuff has quite a range and is difficult to classify. I'd probably say that most of their music is "blank influenced rock" where blank is any of the musical styles you mentioned. Luke has done session work for people whose music lies squarely within those distinct genres.
Just my three cents (with inflation taken into account).

Luke is currently 0.1% in front.

My eldest daughter is plotting to get all her buddies to vote for Luke on the school's computers (assuming access to the site isn't blocked).

The site shouldn't be blocked, l work in IT at schools in Melbourne, your daughter and friends should get on.

GO LUKE!!!!

Scott.

Confirmed....they have voted. For some of these kids, it was the first time they'd heard of Luke or Brian. It was worth getting them to vote for that alone!

please this is just a light hearted competition I m sure that Luke and Brian would have voted for someone else...

Exactly. Besides, how can anyone measure the "greatest" guitar player? One thing I admire about Luke and Brian is that they both seem to be down-to-earth guys who couldn't care less about "greatness" and the whole guitar-hero thing.

Having said that: VOTE LUKE! VOTE LUKE! VOTE LUKE! :D

I knew I liked your daughter

My daughter says, "I think you're really great, BP, and can I please have a fully loaded Luke in Luke Blue for my next birthday?"

:D :D :D
