Excuse my thread of utter awe at EB engineering. Got back to my JP finally after a week (!) with no play... is it just me or is the piezo on these EBMMs the best sounding system ever? I play through a POD and monitor speakers in my apartment, and the sound I think is clearer and definitely better than the plugged in sound of my Ovation Custom Legend, and that is a actual acoustic guitar! Props as usual to EB! Thanks for such great work. I've stopped using my Yamaha acoustic for open mics and little gigs and now always bring my JP.d

YES YES YES!!!! i absolutely love the piezo on my JP6, i used it live on Sunday night and people were utterly astonished when they heard an acoustic, but there was none to be seen! :D
Big thanks to EBMM, such an amazing feature. :)

I echo all earlier comments. The piezo system is fantastic. I used my JP7 at a gig last Friday for the heavy stuff AND the acoustic songs. I was a guitar god. Well, in my own mind. :D

These piezos are truly incredible. Do you hear any sound bleed through at high gain if the pots are all the way down? There is typically some there but it varies by each guitar.

I have no "bleed" and I've never heard of that before.

I hear AERs are the shiznit, are there any affordable versions? :)

zenmba, any pics of that white JP7? i always liked white 7s.

24, I'll have to snap some for you later. The only ones I have (of my FAVORITE guitar) are for my avatar and the following one (which gives the illusion that I can play fast!) :D

I can't stay away too long from the piezo...though I always use it blended in with the magnetics, never alone.

+1 you can get such a HUGE clean sound with piezo through a PA and mags through an amp.. I like some 'verb on the piezo and some delay+chorus on the mags. All together it sounds too big to be coming from one instrument.. yet it is!

spud, i also use the piezo alone frequently. but i mix sometimes as well. depends on the song, i think. for acoustic acoustic stuff, i'm always full-on piezo.
