Hey guys,

I was hanging around in some random music shop today and ended up trying a Silhouette Special just because the sparkling goldtop finish striked my eye... well I had that feeling that I just could not pass on this one, so I ended up paying a deposit for it so that I can go get it on my 18th birthday, just to add a little symbolism to this purchase.

I'm so thrilled, you guys wouldn't believe. However, the model I bought seems to be quite a rare color and I'd like to ask you guys some help so that I can find a picture to look at during the wait :p

The guitar is a Medallion gold Silhouette Special with a white perloid pickguard and rosewood board. Anybody? (FOGGY?)

Thanks guys, and keep enjoying the best guitars in the world.

Congrats Joel! and an early Happy Birthday to you!
It's funny to me when the new forumites call me by name! :p

Medallion Gold is not necessarily rare. It's still available.
I don't have any pics of any Silos with rosewood boards, so when you get yours please post some pics. I'm really interested to see how it looks.
Here's some with a maple board to hold you over.

That's gonna be SERIOUSLY nice!!!

It looks absolutely beautifull indeed. In fact, I wasn't so sure about the color when the salesman told me about it, but I changed my mind the second I saw the guitar in person. It is extremely eye catching, really.

Some people might think it's on the cheesy side, but whatever

Gosh, I can't wait for the 16th!

[Here's a question I've had for a while regarding EBMM's web site. If you're on the "Build An Instrument" page, Medallion Gold isn't an color option for the Silhouette. Having said that, if you're on the Silhouette's basic specs page the "Color Chart" link shows MG and several other colors that don't show-up on the "Build An Instrument" page. So which do we go by?

Never Mind!!!! I just found that little word "options list" at the bottom of the Color Chart. OOOOOPS:)

That's a cool guitar! I own a Medallion Gold JP7 and I have to say, the colour is quite special! It does have a lot of sparkle in it (I noticed this the other day when I put it in sunlight). Hope you enjoy the guitar and do post some pics :)
