A sad day, I never got the chance to see him play live and would have loved too.

He was a great musician and a gifted one at that.

Sad news. Another reminder why we should support cancer research when we can.

I look forward to the day when the most effective treatment isn't nearly as brutal on those undergoing it. Sounds like Jeff went through a lot.

A terrible loss,

I first became aware of Jeff Healey by accident on a TV program, i just caught half of his performance and managed to get his name at the end of the show.

The next day I bought See The Light, from the beginning of ‘Confidence Man’ to the end of ‘See the Light’ (which has the best ending to any song ..ever!) I was amazed - obviously by his style (five 'fingers'!), but he had great expression too. At that time (1989) you had to be exceptional to cut a niche in the market, and he was.

He was influenced by many of my favourites – Hendrix/Clapton/Billy Gibbons/George Harrison so it was great to hear someone mix those together.
I went to see him in the early nineties , he was incredible live, a great showman.

This morning felt like August 1990 again when I first heard about SRV, like him, Jeff Healey leaves a great legacy of recordings.

+1000.... Cancer is such a terrible terrible thing.... I support every Cancer Research charity when I can.... and since it took my dad a little while back it's become even more apparent to me just how much damage this disease causes....

Way back in 1992 ish back when I was a snotty 18 yr old, a friends dad won some tickets to go and see Jeff at the Clapham Grand. he gave us the tickets. It's 16 years gone but I still remember him up onstage, tearing the living s**t out of that Black Squier Strat with the Red Evans pickups. Stevie Salas came onstage for the encore. Stunning gig, what a terrible, terrible loss.

I think Stevie just pushed a chair out and said....... "Come over and jam with Jimi and I."

What a loss, saw him in 1990 and he just ripped out Blue Jean Blues........what a talent.

RIP Jeff....

^+10000 - you said it Keith. Obviously I don't want to turn this into a political debate, but I can only wonder how much medical research would be advanced with the billions we're spending on war....
