Damn, looks like I am SOL on the getting a Dargie Silo! HA With only 12 being made that is! ...

I am relatively new to the forum too...and when I discovered that the Dargie was an extremely limited edition, I was disappointed. The Dargie green was the exact colour I'd want in a Luke, but it was not available. But there is always hope! Keep your eyes on the For Sale thread. Rob's right, quite a few Dargies have moved around...including one that came to me:

If you have an opportunity to get a Dargie (in any model) - go for it!

Dargies are the coolest!!!! I love how the colour changes slightly in different light conditions.

For me, it's more of a 'Green Apple' than Martini Olive Green. It seems to have that gold undercoat - a perfect twin to Candy Apple Red. It's a much better color in person than in pics...mine's never going anywhere.

For the record guys, the Dargie wasn't forum exclusive. It was available to anyone that knew it existed within that short window when orders were being taken.

Granted, it was mostly forumites.. but I believe they showed the proto Dargie Sterling HS at NAMM.. so that exposed the Dargie concept to the 'world'.

The whole concept was just fun, I'm glad I got my brain out of my back pocket after missing the initial order window. When BP reopened the order window for a short time, I pulled the trigger on the Bongo 4H. Sweet. Oh, it's never going anywhere, either. But then, I tend to keep all my stuff.

edit: I also don't know that anyone can recite an exact count with confidence. There was the initial order count, but then some were made for artists and other connected folks. So, I don't know for sure that we've ever seen a final count or breakdown. Not that I'm dogging Scott to provide one.

Well, we'd have to add at least one Dargie BFR JP6 to the count. It went to a forumite. I forget his name. He doesn't post much. :p

Rob, are you referring to the pics we saw from the back where John was clearly playing a Dargie with a painted neck?

I just assumed he meant John. Maybe not? Let's ask Ernie...he knows where every Petrucci is. ;) :p

I don't see how the Dargies could have been exclusively for the forum if I happened to have found a brand new Stingray at the Guitar Center last summer.
