Sorry about the crap picture but my wife was away with my camera.

Here is my 2007 LE SR and 2007 Sterling.

I am hoping to add a 30th Anniversary SR tomorrow.

In any case, these basses make a great gigging pair. My Sadowsky NYC is getting sad.:(

there is a 30th missing!

Sidetracked slightly.

A large Canadian retailer whose name starts with L & ends in McQuade completely stiffed me today so I had to walk.

The 30th that I saw at Cosmo Music ended up selling the hour before I went to get it and I went to the other retailer (they have a price matching policy). Because I was honest and told the sales guy the price I was quoted (a few hundred less that what was on the sticker) but told him it sold before I could buy it, they wouldn't honour the price. I am one of their biggest customers (which they seemed to care less about). To quote the sales moron "Since there is no longer a bass at our competitor's, there is no longer a price match." He told me I could pay 100% of retail or walk. I walked.

I NEVER bitch and am a really easy going guy but I will be speaking to the head clowns at this company as I have easily dropped seven figures on bass gear in the last year with this company. I guess loyalty means squat.

I have a local boutique bass-only store that sells EBMM trying to locate a 20th for me as I type. If he can't get one, I may do the 20th SR5 that he has in stock or just keep what I have.

I drove 90 minutes round trip out of my way which is what drives me the most crazy.

Very frustrating.

Sorry about the rant!:eek::D

Baird, if you're serious, post in the Want To Buy thread.
There were some 30ths coming up lately...

Very serious.

Unfortunately I live in Canada and anything I buy in the US costs me shipping + about 20% in tax and duty.

PLUS, I would have liked to trade in a Fender or 3!!!

My new plan? Sell a few Fenders on eBay then decide if I buy a 30th, 5er 20th or Sterling 5. Decisions, decisions....

Denver area.
Do you live very far from the border, and are you able to drive across? If so, you could just have a 30th shipped to a manned Fed-Ex or UPS facility near the border on the US side & just drive down & get it. I did that a few times when I was living in Montreal for a year - had basses shipped & held at a FedEx facility in Albany, NY & drove down to pick 'em up. Avoided duties & taxes that way. Not sure if that's an option for you, just thought I'd mention it.
