I've been through a few revisions of this ...

First, my Morse had the "add bridge" toggle to do the split.
Then I wired up a push-pull pot.
Then I moved to an extra mini-toggle for series/parallel/split for both bridge and neck.
Then I went to "dial-a-split" wiring via my unused tone control (also on my Y2D).

This past weekend, I reverted to the mini toggle. Just on/off for split/bucker, controlling both neck and bridge.

I like this last one the best, it's quickest on the fly. I find the push/pull takes too long to pull when I'm moving around quickly, and I often miss it. The pot thing wasn't bad and works well on my Y2D but on my Morse I have the extra toggle (was for the piezo) which got in the way.

Oh, and I put in a Silent Circuit in both the Morse and Y2D so the splits are damn quiet.

Any way you do it, that bridge bucker sounds fantastic when split.

i don't think i'd call it an upgrade. more like a mod to fit my playin.

i'm pretty much set up the same as beej ..........a small black mini toggle to split the bridge. it sits just behind the 3 way lever switch. i too like the quick action of the toggle as oppose to a push/pull switch.(or circus pup tents as we use to so fondly refer to them in the ole shop)

the hummers sound really good split......& i use the bridge split quite alot. very tele like tone. on my main guitar (90 standard morse i bought new in 91 ) i just have the bridge hummer set up to split. the slanted single coil i put in (lollar blonde) does the trick for the srv neck tone. this guitar is so versatile it's silly

Your #1 is amazing, Tommy! I remember the last gig of yours that I went to I asked if you had been using your tone control while playing for yet another sound because of the insane amount of different sounds that came out of your rig and you said "No, this guitar just does what I want it to do" :D
