Anybody has DOB and the place it was initially shipped to?

Also, could you please tell me how many has been made to its exact specs?

Thanks a lot!

Joel, welcome to the addiction! :D

9/23/05 is the build date and it was shipped to Steve's Music in Montreal. As far as how many of this exact model, finish and configuration were built - about 10 so far. Not too many, a little surprising.

Your Silhouette Special HSS in Autumn Red Sparkle was completed on 9/27/01 Your Sunburst Axis was completed on 1/15/97. Nice pair! both a bit rare! I swear!

Hi again Dan...I've just snagged (in the past 10 mins!) my very first hard-tail Silo.

Serial Number is 95898 (or maybe 95893?). As much info as you have would be great.

Keep up the good work Dan - you're a star.

Richard, let's hope the serial number is 95893 - because the the other one shows up as a Luke! :D

Your new acquisition was completed on 10/4/95 and the details are: Sunburst, hardtail/Rosewood. It was originally shipped to Mid-Atlantic Music in Delaware.

Thanks Dan,
I have one more question :)
It is possible, that this axis have a 2 knobs (volume and tone)? I think that tone knob was added by previous owner. Somebody told me "yep on my Axis (1996) there was a pre-drill hole in that place making it easy to add a tone pot". This is true ? :)
Sorry for my bad english :)
Regards

The Axis is pre-routed underneath for a tone pot option. that is correct - it is necessary to drill the hole for the pot shaft to the top, but the space is there to do it. Not recommended unless you are an expert, as it could easily damage the finish on the maple top.
