Wait a minute now...I'm right here on Long Island. Your first question should be. What's the first thing you can sell me at a super cheap price? :p

I would think that would remove a lot of GAS because you are there everyday, of course you may get fired for playing everything instead of working.

Congrats on the new job. It will help having an informed EBMM user as a GC employee.

a GC employee gets dealer cost plus freight and applicable sales tax.

Do you have to pay the original freight for items that are already in the store, or only on special orders? Also, is there a probation period? For example: You can't buy gear at cost until 30/60 days after you start?

I work for Sweetwater, and I'm just curious how you guys do things.

There is 90 day a probation period, but it is pretty much left up to the general manager as to when he will let you buy gear at cost. every item in the store has a small freight cost attached to it, and you do pay that amount along with dealer cost and tax. It's really a great deal, and it's another one of the ways that GC takes good care of it's employees.

The Sweetwater employee purchase program is similar. We only pay freight on special order items.
