Thanks. My wife has a great camera but it is a little conspicuous walking into a service with a whopping digital SLR including a 200mm lens slung around your neck.;)

I might have something in the archives I could dig up. PM me if you want the church web site to check it out.

+1 for BP as #1!
PM Sent........... thanks..... OMB

God and that.

See I though it may be funny to make a joke portraying big poppa as god...it backfired and I look a twat

Sorry if I wrecked the joke...:) It looked like you were baiting a discussion about God and since religion an politics are taboo here, I got a little nervous.

True...but every church is a business when you break it down.

....I agree.....and at this point I will comment no further:D
The forum is not the place for it I'm sure:)

My 20th SR5 gets a lot of great comments at church for both tone and looks...can't wait to hear what they think about my 08 LE Bongo. Hopefully I don't die first from the anxiety that this waiting is causing...must be patient...think about something else.

Hey I understand. I have a 'controversial' (british) sense of humor anyway, but we are all friends here!

Big Poppa chimed in on previous thread and ask us not to discuss religion here on the forum, and he's right, this is not the place for it........

Thats why I try to keep it musical when discussing Church..........

Please, stick to the Forum subject matter.............thanks.....:)

I'm still undecided whether I should go with my Dingwall or SR5 Sunday. I just restrung the Dingwall with Voodoo stainless medium-lights....wow...the zing and brightness is back. Likewise with the fresh set of DR black beauties I put on the SR5.

Just got back from playing a Good Friday evening service. Played with a different group than usual. Me and my 30th had a blast. The note definition on that bass is amazing. We were playing this F# to B chord vamp that kept building. So I started do a root - 5th - octave run over the chords. On any other bass I have owned in the past it would have got muddy with the fast interval changes I was playing. Not on the 30th, it sang out each note with thunder and clarity. I don't know if I could play a regular Stingray after owning this thing. Maybe a Bongo though. :p

I will be playing this Easter Sunday. The one song I slap on is on the set list. Should be fun. I hope everyone has a Blessed Easter.

Thanks Brim...sorry for the hijack, gang!

No problem carpe.

Woah momma! I ended up taking the SR5 (the Dingwall strings are just a little too fresh and zingy yet) and it sounded terrifyingly awesome through a full PA system. I'll get pics as soon as they're available from the various photographers that were there. The service was so awesome!

(I guess this thread is pretty much over...let's move over to the Easter gig pics thread).

Peace,
Brim
