My dream EBMM would be a regular JP6 with a 24 fret Axis neck and Axis pickups. I love the trem on my JP, but the neck is not as comfortable to me as the neck on my Axis.

Normally, I play my JP the vast majority of the time, but tonight I took my Axis to rehearsal. It reinforced what I already knew, my Axis has a better high gain tone than my JP. Also, the neck is more comfortable although maybe not quite as fast. The harmonics are better on the Axis too. I do suspect that the pickups in the Axis may sound different if they were installed in the JP because of the bridge setup. I think the fact that the Floyd on the Axis is dive only makes a hugh difference in the tone.

here is a shock, a left handed Petrucci! woohoo! :D

hahahaha good one :)

I'd definitely pick BFR JP7 bahama blue burst quilt top (or flame it still confuses me - I need to recheck it)....I can't let it go! it's still in my head! If money wasn't a problem I'd get that beauty asap! here it is, maybe you know what finish is this:

just for the record: this picture is taken from this forum. The guitar belongs to one of forumates :)

I would like a Silhouette or Silo Special the same design, with MM vintage trem, pickguard, maple neck a fretboard with HEAVY Flame and 12in radius.
Body: Mahagony with FLame maple top
Color: Either a Blue Burst (like BBB) or a Transluscent Red or even a Pinkburst like the AL
Pickguard: White Perloid
Pickups: Tone Zone bridge and Air Norton neck with stock single coil for HSH, and Tone Zone with Fast Track 1 and Cruiser in Neck (all DiMarzio)
Also an extra 2 way toggle to split the humbuckers for single coil sounds.

OK, I'll play the left-handed game.

LH Morse (or a Y2D, I'm not picky :p) only with a maple fretboard.

But I guess I'd settle for a Petrucci like the others.

apologies for the headstock and trem but you get the idea...Spalted maple body and fingerboard, ebony binding, EMG85/60, black tremolo, black hardware, one volume, two tones, 3-way. That would be perfect for me:

au contraire...

I wish they would put the JP floating trem on ALL their guitars.

I think it'd be cool if the EB trem was available on ALL models, including the standard Axis and the Morse models. It'd also be sweet if you could have them floating or non (although this can easily be done with a setup).

Dream design for EBMM guitar?

Spruce top, carved - styled f holes (or should that be E holes)
Mahogany body - chambered
Mahogany neck
Rosewood fingerboard
Duncan Jazz pickup in neck
Duncan 59 pickup in bridge
EBMM vintage trem
locking tuners
Axis body shape -slightly larger than the current design to accomodate the carved top and chambered body

.... you said I could dream right?

cheers always, eh

Dreaming is what this thread is about. A Y2d with a Steve Morse model pickup and switching setup? Now that's dreaming...
