Congrats. I too am a recent Bongo convert, but I still love an SR. I've finally decided to "settle" with 2 basses for a while - 1 of each. And neither of them are the ones in my signature, though I love both of those too. Both of those will be sold soon, to acquire the dynamic duo my will is now bent on. One is a Stealth or Graphite Pearl Bongo 4HH, and the other will remain nameless until I post pics of it, hopefully sometime next month. :)

Anyway, again ... congrats!!

Was it the Sherman Oaks Guitar Center at the President's Day Sale?

sexy rexy strikes again

I'm new to this site but have been around for a while. I must say that it's nice to know the owner of the company peruses the boards and posts. Only other one who's this tuned into his customers is John Hall at Rickenbacker. Thanks Big Poppa.

Bongo Arrived Today

Well, my new Lava pearl Bongo 4 arrived today. All I can say is F**k this thing rocks. I played it through a Genz Benz Neo-Pak and my new Dr. Bass 2460D which arrived yesterday. I knew the Bongo sounded good when I tried it at GC through a Markbass combo, but until I tried it at home...crap, I can't get over how good this sounds. Deep lows but stunning mids and crystal clear highs. The sound sparkles set flat. Raise the bass and watch out, thought my windows were going to shatter. When BP says Bongo's rule, he's not kidding. I know this is debatable, but this is the best sounding bass I've had in years, and that includes Dingwals, Laklands, and Fenders. Loved all of those but I don't think they compare. Damn....I'm in love. Pics of the rig tommorrow. :D

I'm way down the totem pole, but I say that, too. And I'm not kidding, either!

:D

If anyone wants to debate that, I'll be on your team.

Yeah the looks.......The supposed open minded musician threw stones and made fum of it because it was different.

We won about three international design awards and General Motors used it to help introduce a new car.

I hate to break the news to you but the most narrow minded people on the earth and iloled with sheer terror at something different is guitar players followed by bass players....they have been programmed to play one or two diferent instrument shapes and it kills them to think that they could play something different...think of it like food...If you grew up only eating variations of potato and someone slipped an apple in you would gag....

I love your passion. Don't ever sell out, please. I don't think I could handle a "made in China" bongo. Probably not a coincidence that my favorite car is the BMW.
