I've been twangin' the hell out of my sss Silo Special. I'm the lead guitarist in a top 40/original country band and my Silo is my main ax. It has the piezo so that is nice too. I play a few drop d songs on my partsocaster Tele and few slide songs on my Gretsch Pro Jet but the Silo sees most of the action. I'm not sure if it is the base plate on the bridge pickup that adds so much to the sound but this thing can twang with the best of them. It is very versatile as I can get all of my Strat tones in combination with that hot and ballsy bridge pickup. Being a former AL owner and MM90 ASS owner I can say that the Silo Special is as good of a country guitar as there is in the EBMM guitar family.

"Here at the highest stage of development all ornament is discarded. Form no longer conceals content but brings out its value to the full. Perfect grace consists not in exterior ornamentation of the substance, but in the simple fitness of its form." ~ Yijing/Wilhelm commentaries

Sorry for the serious post; I wax philosophical in early morning. :p

Imo, above all else, Silo Specials (SSS and HSS) are players, right out of the box.

I don't know if this quite qualifies as country, but I love listening to this guy and his beautful Axis.
