I wouldn't worry about it. I've made some dumb threads before that make yours look innocent, including a Guitar Center bash and a thread about an Ibanez I bought  It just takes a while to get used to the way things work around here

How is a thread about acquiring an Axis, based on experiences with an OLP "dumb", exactly? And, Ed is a huge influence of mine, who at one time used a Music Man guitar that bore his name, correct?

We all understand that EVH has been a huge influence on quite a few of the knuckleheads here. However, you may not know the "whole" story about EVH's time with EBMM. It was not pretty.....at all. Hence, Big Poppa does pay the bills here and he has asked that no threads take up his bandwidth about EVH. A forum search will show you how posts (even very innocent ones) go south quickly because of EVH the person...not the guitar. The guitar that bore his name was a great axe and still is. However, the Axis is the same with some improvements IMHO. But, even talking about the EVH Axis tends to get the convo centered on EVH the person and it is just a waste of time, bandwidth, money and it usually gets worse.

It is a respect of Big Poppa's request not to post about EVH. I don't think it is too much to ask to be honest. Him and Eddie had a falling out...I don't blame Big Poppa for not wanting to pay to discuss him on HIS forum.

OLP's...I had one. Great guitar for the price. Again...if it leads one to an actual EBMM, I am all for it. However, this is an EBMM site. Just trying to help so don't take it like I have an attitude with you.

Anywho...get that Axis and enjoy the ride.

Actually, I would imagine the sales of instruments are what pays the bills. For the record, I have a Music Man amp, a vintage one.

If I am correct...as I am only trying to remember...the strings are the bread and butter...;)

Either way....I saw a good ole EB amp but the store was closing and I did not get a chance to play it as they are as rare as a long tailed bobcat around here. So, of course, the next day...I go to the store....and it was sold! Damn the bad luck...

By chance....you have any clips using that amp? I want to hear one....

I should also point out that I have used Ernie Ball strings since 1980. I have clips of my HD150 212. I will post them when I can.

If you would post some clips....I would appreciate it. I am currently debating amps and what not....I can't seem to make up my mind at all. So...I have this huge collection of different amp clips to listen to and I want to make the best decision as I can't play them all....lol

BTW....you have the amp...use the strings...you are part of the "club" more so than you think....(referring to you other post in another thread..;))

Put it this way, we all like EVH. (Probably). We all like EBMM. EBMM doesn't like EVH. On a EBMM forum, EVH brings about bad memories. That's all. No offense to you of course, hope you stay around! Just try not to bring up EVH as much as possible ;)

Fair enough, I can understand this. That said, discussing OLP guitars is another matter. If people are offended by that, how ridiculous!
