The Black Fire is owned by ernie1966 at this forum. That and about 38 other guitars.

The second thread is/was the prototype of what is now the BFR Petrucci formerly known as the F-1.

I would like to see pics from either of those threads. Those threads dont really reference the Black Fire proto from what I can gather this is an entirely different (or 2 different) protos which I would love to see... Foggy you have them ?

But thanks for the help so far! Now all we need is pics...

I believe this is the guitar in question.
It had actually went on eBay shortly after that thread. I don't know what ever happened to it.

Wow! that is sick. Love the blacked out pickup covers. Fairly sweet looking unfinished as well.

I like the unfinished look. Reminds me of my old Rickenbacker bass guitar. The Ric wasn't all that, but it sure looked cool as hell.

Again, I have to you guys credit, Dudley, Sterling and of course Drew, I'd buy that too if it were ever made. :)

Though for me it wouldn't have to be a neck through.

Was this the possible future, similar to what the Bongo was for basses?

Poppa, was that the guy who approached you via the forum - I was searchin for something a few months back and came accross it - it was a weird name of something you were looking for and he was a consultant in it???

Is there a funny story attached, or has smelly gone mad in his hotel room???
