This is just a little tune I did with some cats from my college at a performance we did last Thursday. Please take into account that I was not mic'd or DI'd. My sound is strictly from what was picked up from the other instrument mics and vocal mics.

This is my Dargie (HS StingRay 5) through a Little Mark II and Epifani UL410.

The volume is a bit low at the beginning but does come up a couple measures in.

One of the best jazz guys in Vancouver here,,(with credits with players like Freddie Hubbard and some dude with the last name of Bowie) Plays a modifed stingray in jazz situations and it sounds great....His modifications are an extension at the end of the fretboard giving it 24 frets and a deeper cutaway.....

Bass sounds good! I think playing Jazz might stunt your growth though Andrew. :)

:eek: That's the closest sound to an upright I've ever heard from a 34" scale fretted bass. It's ridiculously close!

What settings did you have? Pickup(s)? Piezo?
