Nice, this bass was completed on 06/02/89 and sent to the old Rhythm City in Atlanta.

Dan

so now i have an '88 born on 6/2 and an'89 born on 6/2...pretty cool...the guy who owned this bass before me has taken it all over the world and had the finger board epoxied which just makes the fingerboard look gourgious and more durable...plays great

Hi Dan, I meant to get round to dating my old 2 EQ (serial#36224) some time ago and my new purchase (serial#E46451) has finally given me the impetus to do it. Well, to ask you to do it I mean.

Much thanks in advance if you can give me DoBs for both of these!

Dave

Dave, no problem, here is the info:

36224 - Nov 18 1992, Sunburst / Rosewood

E46451 - March 9 2005, Cherryburst Maple

Nice pair! ;)

Hi there. A friend has a black Stingray 4 that I might buy from him. But he doesn´t know what year it is. The serial number is:

E36547

Would be great to get some info about it. I have another 7 Stingrays but I won´t bother you guys with that since I know pretty much all there is to know about them already. :)

Great thanks.

Sincerely//Jan - Sweden

Jan, so this would be your eighth .. I think it would be prudent to photo your whole collection .. this one was completed on 04/08/03.

Best,

Dan

Keith, no problem, that's what this thread is for! ;) Your lefty Bongo in Egyptian Smoke finish with a black pearloid pickguard was completed on 6/14/06 and was originally shipped to boys at Bass Central.

Hi, I was curious as to the wood used in my fingerboard..rosewood or maple (serial# E59352)? I ask because, for some reason, the Dunlop fingerboard cleaner and conditioner I just bought warns that it isn't to be used on maple... Thanks!!

bajoman, according to our records, your fingerboard/fretboard is quite rosewood. The reason Dunlop and others tell you not to use their lemon oil on maple is because with most instruments using maple, the maple is finished/sealed which means the lemon oil would have no effect except to make it gungky .... actually, what we now use and recommend very highly is this fabulous new product:
