Springfield EBMM dealer?

I'm going to be in Springfield, MO, in a couple of weeks. I see Palen Music Center is the EBMM dealer there. I was wondering if anyone was familiar, and if they have a good stock. I'm just wondering if it would be worth my time to try and stop in while I'm in the neighborhood. It would just be a window-shopping trip, but then you never know.

Spud, I think it's about 2 hours drive, although that's based on vague memories of when I used to go to Columbia MO.

Yup, Springfield and Shelbyville are both real places. There's actually one season where we find out that the Simpsons live in "Northern Kentucky" (Behind The Laughter episode). So, going on that, Shelbyville is a little more than an hour away from Springfield... and it's also 10 mins away from Simpsonville.

Is it sad that I know this much about the Simpsons?

O/T - How far away is Springfield from St Louis?

A little over three hours at legal speeds.

There's an enormous Bass Pro Shop in Springfield (the fish, not the guitar).

That's actually why I'm going to be there. I've got a three-year-old that can't get enough of wildlife museums and zoos, and the museum there is really nice. We've been once before, but he doesn't really remember much about it. We had a big week-long vacation planned, but with gas prices, etc., we had to scale back to something a little shorter and a little closer to home, so it was a good chance to take him back and spend a couple of days in the mountains.
