I'm considering picking up an Ernie Ball Musicman Gig Bag for my bass. Is anyone here currently using one of these? If so I'd like you to share your thoughts.

Thanks!

Cant speak for the bass one but I have one I use for my guitars, it is great, padded durable and fits like a glove, beats caring around the case when not needed.:D

As much as I love the EBMM case, it won't fit in the cars trunk unless I fold the back part of the seat down so I'd like a good "safe" alternative to the hard case.

Buzzman, I can't speak for the EBMM gig bag but I did own a w*****k for years using only the gig bag that it came with...it did a real good job...I could only imagine that the EBMM gig bag would be as good or even BETER !!!

I´m using gig bags alot, trust me alot! :D I´ve had a few rockbags and lots of other stuff that just breaks. Now I have a Levy´s leather gigbag, theyre just great! But i´m also looking for a EBMM gigbag, mostly just to have a bag with the EBMM logo on :D

The EB gig bags work great . There are very light and low profile. They work especially well with the clamshell SKB flight case or any other flightcase that is not formed for a specific bass.I keep my flightcases without foam so I can put in the bass of my choice in a gig bag and then in the flightcase.

I bought one about two months ago, and I'm quite pleased with it. Very nice padding all around, the bag keeps my SUB 5 in tune when I lay it on the ground (though I always double check the tuning with harmonics). The only "con"I see about the bag is that it only has one, I'd say medium/small, pocket for storing stuff.. But its not much of a "con" for me since my strap is always on the bass. I only store my tuner, line and strings in the pocket ( you could prolly fit more stuff in there, but thats the only things I carry around with ).

I'm a whore for EBMM stuff hehehehe, I'll buy anything with the EBMM logo, even the wheels on my amp are EBMM :p

ALL of what i wrote can be summed up to this "buy it"

From the pics posted at MF it looks like the bag is made for EB by Levy's.

i use one, good padding, looks sleek, does the job and i love the EBMM logo on it too

the pocket is perfect for my strap, everything else i keep in a case. Its fits both my bongo and my SR5.I just spent the last 10 mins trying to find a bad point ......can't find one !!

i would rather have my hard case but when i need to i have the perfect gig bag.
