Hey guys,
I'm still trying to get myself back on Earth after seeing Dream Theater in action last night in Atlanta! My buddy took some pics with his phone that I'll try and post after he sends them to me. The show was AWESOME and Petrucci was amazing! The BFR guitars were just stunning in person! His axe of choice for most of the night was what appeared to be a black LE model w/gold hardware at first but it had the painted neck, BFR body style and I believe the BFR inlay on the 12th fret. So I think that it was a solid black BFR with gold hardware. He also played his Tobacco Burst and Red quilt 7 string. I know that most of you have saw the video of him explaining his rig and how the front cabs are not hooked up because they use in-ear monitors and that he has two cabs facing away from the stage with a mic and a blanket over them. Well that wasn't the case last night at The Tabernacle. He had two of his bottom cabs miced and when the front house PA went silent for about 30 seconds during the second song his stage volume was coming out loud and clear from those front cabs! His tone was to die for! I think he was using one of the rummored proto type Mark V heads. Reason I say this is because he commented on them at a recent clinic and he had a head setting on top of his usual rack that he and his tech tweaked on throughout the show. Amazing night!
