Okay, NAMM is around the corner? Anything WAY cool that I might be kicking myself if I don't wait until the last week to place my order at Washington Music? Already got to the party too late for the Dargie party favors!:rolleyes:

If this is like last year. EB won't be doing Summer NAMM.
They'd decided it was too dead of an event and a general waste of time.

Well rats. That's what I've heard from a couple of the companies. Summer NAMM was fun when it was Nashville, I was lucky enough to go in '97 and '00.

After they pulled the NAMM show from Nashville (I think the last time they had it there was in 2004?) , it moved to Indianapolis for 2005, Austin for 2006 and Austin for 2007. Sadly, attendance dwindled at these shows and it became more of an expense than a benefit for a lot of exhibitors. The Summer show was moved back to Nashville for 2008 (hooray!). Austin was a great city to have it in, but it's kind of out of the way for a lot of US dealers to drive to whereas Nashville is a lot more centrally located.

EB/MM will be at the Summer show in Nashville in June! (they also moved the dates to one month sooner).

Very cool.

Nashville really is a fantastic place to go, I wish I wasn't in the middle of trying to sell and buy a house. I'd be there in a heartbeat!

I think I'll sit on my order until we make it through NAMM.

Nashville is just a hop, skip and a couple of jumps for me....and wonderfully fun town to party in.

And also a quick little hop for our taleted friends from Central Florida...who seem to be not on tour at that time ...???...???

When does the EBMM crew arrive?

I too had to miss out on the delicious Dargies. Oh well...there will be other bits of magic out of SLO.

Here's to some great new stuff at Summer NAMM! Maybe, we'll see the new colors and pickguards that Dargin posted.

I don't think so. NAMM isn't open to the general public. You have to work in the music industry, or have an "in" with a vendor, music store, company.
