You'll have to look on eBay for the plates, and they do not show up very often. Maybe somebody here has a spare set.

The pads are easy enough to make once you have the hard parts.

They're hard to find.

EB used to sell them but last time I checked they had no more stock.

But you could get lucky. Try customer Service. The part number is/was "M05114".

The little folded metal pieces on the old style EBMM bridges.

You loosen the screws and the foam pads attached rise and mute the strings.

Not very functional but I want them for a bass I'm restoring.

I got a brand new assembly from a forum member a little over a year ago for my '88 stingray that was missing the whole assembly...I don't think EBMM makes them anymore as replacement parts...they are kind of pricy to find on ebay too

if you want just the mute pads, I found that the foam spacers used in R/C cars to cusion and space the batteries in the car work great, just size and carefully cut them then glue the new mute pad with C.A. glue to the metal or a thin double side tape works good too

Dumb question....what is a bridge mute?

I'm sure you've seen these on the the older basses before. They used to come with these up until about '96-ish.

Mute sets are very hard to find. Over the past few years I got very lucky finding two sets to restore my StingRay's with.
But the ones I've seen show up on ebay, I've seen sell for $50 and that's still without screws.

Neoprene mouse pads are good too. There are some instructions somewhere on the forum that Gav posted awhile back that have the measurements.
