Silo Lovers - What Colors Do You Long For?

While I'm waiting for my 2008 LE Silo Special, I can't help but think about some of the fanatastic EBMM colors (some old and some new) that are not offered on the Silo. Buttercream and Black Cherry Burst both come to my mind. I've seen only a handful of those and thought they looked wonderful.

So, what colors would you like to see either added to or brought back to the Silo pallet????

The one colour I wish I had? For a Silo? That's easy. I want exactly the same colour I saw and I fell in love with with I first saw a Silo: Black Sparkle.

I still want one. Sapphire black isn't quite the same.

Knowing full well that the 20th Anniversary Silos were basically BFR's, I can't wait to see what the actual BFR Silo's will look like.

I'd love a trans blue silo, no pickguard, flame top. Just take a 20th Silo and repaint it trans blue.

..i already have a 1992 trans white that i will post pictures soon..otherwise i would heavily long for a trans white..

..also maybe pinkburst same as the AL presented in some other thread (with matching headstock)..

..for me quilt would not make it that well on a silo as it does on the ASS..

..what about an all-rosewood silo with three single coils..(kind of jazzy/bluesy tone i guess)..?

..off topic: i think offering a silo with a floating trem (recessed) would be fine..

...me too, I'd love to see Pearl Lavender back on the chart, but I guess it did not sell enough. Nevertheless, it's always been SPECTACULAR !

Other colors I'd like to see on Silo / Silo Special:

- I'd most definitely want a BFR Silo Special (note: the SPECIAL, not the 24 frets) with a spectacular flame top that REALLY sucks in TRANS GOLD

- bring back PEARL PURPLE

- bring back AUTUMN REDRISE

- and though I really like the idea of limited runs, I wish I had a Dargie Delight Silo Special... *sigh*

thats what i would love! i went for the teal in the end cause of it not being available, which i might add is awesome, going by another thread i seem to have encouraged other to think the same!

Already got a pearl purple SS.....want a lavender one. If Axilla was lefty I'd have gone to Germany & stolen that one....still, guess we can always get them re-sprayed

Oh yeah...I forgot that metal flake green. It's a very classy looking color. Sombody here just picked one up on eBay.

That might be me - I still have a hankering for a white Silo, but I must admit that I am very happy with my Dargie, Silver Sparkle and Metalflake Green Silos (all acquired in 2008).

...well, we might exchange the nut and have a few things done to the setup so you could play it Hendrix-style, reverse body/headstock

Well yeah, it's a bit of a problem with a potential BFR Silo Special, when putting a pickguard over a highly flamed maple top, but there are two ways for avoiding that:

- It could be done like on a Morse Y2D, that features a see-thru pickguard

or

- this BFR Silo Special could be made a bit like the Luke's top with PUs mounted directly to the body

Anyone would agree to that ?

Not a bad idea....I rarely need the higher frtes for anything!!

But stop it with the flame maple stuff....it's for wusses.....real men play PLAIN guitars!!

Silos look nice in any color really. I really like the sunburst ones though. As for colors that do not exist - Pearl white or a color changing scheme would be cool. No pickguard (ala the JP) would be sweet too...
