Hey Axel,
when I read the title, it was absolutely clear, that you´ve bought something. I thought it was a guitar.

I noticed, that you´ve been not so often around here lately, but I knew nothing about an accident. I hope everything is getting fine so far.

greets

Servus Kollege,

I must admit I was really tempted by a fine Silhouette SPecial that was availabe from someone in Munich, but I have to buy some hundred Euros worth of spare parts to get my motorbike (or "death-device" like andynpeters called it...:)) back to operation... Somehow my second addiction after Musicmans

The main reason why I have practically been away for a few month was that I moved on to work for another company where I have no more private internet access during my weeks. As I spend my whole week there and still have band rehearsals somewhere else on saturdays, I only get home on sundays and have my washings & stuff to do... Almost no time to be online then. Now that my bones are slowly healing and I am recovering from that accident, I spend my days at home not moving too much and have lotsa time to lookaround online :)
...have to focus on the good things in the bad situations I guess

:D ... I really doubt that you would have bought that wine or even tried it ;)

I guess I got that price because I looked so shattered and worn that somehow the pity took hold of you

@Rossie: Nope, I dropped the idea of a modelling recording solution when I was asked to join the band I'm now playing with since January. We have a huge rehearsal place even including a fridge and bathroom :D It even contains digital 16-track recording facilities and some really good recording mics. So when I bought my Diezel Einstein head to go with my old Marshall and Hiwatt cabinets, I lost the interest in modelling since I spent most my time at rehearsal playing "live" :)
Maybe I will again look for a POD or something like that when my balance has recovered from the Diezel, which still might take some time

Cheers

Axel
Super cool!
Would love to try a VH4... The price seems...

Is it much cheaper in Germany compared to the US?

Hey Axilla,

look at the bright side: better the ribs than the spine!
And you got the opportunity of shopping and purchasing THE new wah-pedal in town...

Best regards and keep recovering

Hey Rossie,
I don't really know what Diezels currently go for in the US, but with the weak Dollar compared to the Euro, they must be REALLY expensive I guess. The VH4 has a middle street price of around 2800 Euros in Germany. This should be around 4450 USD just in exchange rate - taxes and import not included... OUCH !

Hm, sadly apart from Gib's sons guitars, these exchange rates currently don't really result in better prices for us Europeans when purchasing US products over here, either... Currently no really attractive prices on new Balls here.

Thanks fella !
Yepp, I was lucky wearing a dead tortoise's shell (back protector ;)) so the spine didn't get hurt. Safety's always first !
...and helly-yeah, the EBMM Wah is THE one for me ! I just LOVE it !

Damn Axel ... I didn't know about the accident either ... that sucks large.

Very glad to hear you're in one piece and healing. Good call on the Wah, that should definitely speed up the recovery process ;)

Thanks, BEEJ and Tim !

Yeah, moving my foot on the Wah DOES speed up healing - I can approve by now ;)

Tim, sorry to hear you broke some bones, too !
Hope you didn't break anything important and get well soon ! ! !

Cheers

Here's to a speedy recovery....

PS : Forget the female side.........You'd make a really fugly chick. :D

Thanks Dizz and yeah, I agree to that chick thang ;)

my goal is to try to not do anything where I can lose a leg.

On the one hand I agree to that, Pops. But there was a thing written on a shirt I used to own, that said "If you don't live for something - you die for nothing".
Rock'n'Roll is a lifestyle, and music as well as motorbike ridin' are essential parts of my way of living that dream. However, I don't take any of the most obvious risks and try to always put safety first.
Nevertheless, dropping the bike at 35 km/h were sufficient for breaking 7 ribs. But professional protection saved me from worse.

Thanks to everybody again for your nice wishes !

Wow, get well soon! I love the wah and wine approach to your medication regimen. :D

Eat well and sleep as much as possible to help with the recovery...
