One can spend an entire lifetime watching youtube videos and still only scratch the surface ....
Here are some more to knock off the list:

Remind your local EB dealer that they can grab the WAH from us ... they won't be disappointed ....

Considering one one these. They sound pretty subtle to my ears, based on clips.

Does the "adjustable switch" control the depth and/or sweep?

Bruce,
The adjustable switch controls the amount of pressure needed to turn the wah on and off. Sweep is not adjustable as far as I know.

I'm loving mine.

Cool!!!! Time for my Dunlop Hendrix Wah to go!!! (I hope someone here in Singapore brings this in...)

But what I really would love from EBMM is to combine this with their volume pedal. Meaning, when the Wah is off, it's a Volume pedal... Damn... Hope to see this one day.

How would that work? You'd have to swell to max volume anytime you switched on the wah.. Unless they went to a Morley-style on/off switch. But I'm diggin' my EB Wah just the way it is.

Well, usually your pedal WOULD be at max volume anyways, unless you're doing violin-like volume swells. It's like how the pedal on my PODXTLive works. Nice!

Thanks Jodi, this Tal Morris vid is a slightly longer version of a video posted last year already, where Tal also talked about his various Axis SuperSport models, right ?

Cool stuff !

...whereas I didn't like the recorded sound captured in the second vid. Not so well done I guess... Not the pedal 4 sure.

My volume pedal is not always maxed out. I use it to 'mix' myself into the stage volume, and then I like to leave a little 'headroom' so that I can get a little louder if need be. You never know who's holding back in the soundcheck! ;)

Also, sometimes I use it to actually play more quietly... dynamics! I know the rage these days is to compress any trace of dynamics into oblivion, but some of us still employ dynamics as an attribute of music. Think Peter Gabriel-era Genesis.

Ax,
yeah man .. we did some editing to make it more of a WAH only review.

We're stoked that the WAH's are doing so well.

Thanks for a good chuckle. Every guitar player does this! I think the soundman (on-stage or in studio) also prepares for such shenanigans. lol

Bruce,

I ran sound for bands for a few years when I was in high school. A friend of mine had a 24-foot truck filled with PA gear.. enough to play a small arena! So I learned as a teenager just what the bar-band scene was like. I have always disliked volume wars! Indeed, the soundman always has some attenuation at his disposal.. hahaha. But the stage volume+monitor mix is all that you have for reference when you're playing (unless you use a wirless and run out to the front-of-house), so even when the soundman corrects the mix for the mains, those volume war guys can still screw up the on-stage-sound. Grr! :D

Back to the topic of the wah though.. I've heard some of your playing and I think you would appreciate the voicing of this wah for the style of music that I've heard from you. What I like about it is that it's got more effect on the signal when you're closer to the heel position than most other wahs. (Which seem to have all their effect when you're nearly at the toe end of the throw.)

...that's exactly what happens when you put an outstanding product to market. Even if it is apparently the most expensive wah at least here in Germany, I don't regret a single cent I spent !
...oh, and btw - I cannot wait my bones to heal to get back to my band's place and let the guitar/bass colleague try it out. In the face of his Morleys, I'd say :D

Try to find the English meaning of the German word WAHNSINN :D

It always seems to take a great deal of time before EBMM put a new product out, but whatever it is - they're always sure to please and knock us off of our feet.
Thanks to all of you for doing what you do !
