Damn, I wish I would have known about this. I'm sitting here doing nothing only a few miles away, and I definitely would have gone (and probably picked something up).

Gotta say this was a fun time. BP and Mr. Petrucci were on stage for about 2 hours. They discussed everything from technique to musical pet peeves. There was a nice Q&A session and John only got to play one full song because of all the back and forth. Gotta say BP is a monster player, at one time he was rocking out nicely on a baritone BFR. There was some nice back and forth jamming between John and BP. Very cool!
Big thanks to the Ball family and the Petrucci family.

I'm sure some other forumers will post some nice pics. I only have one, but not of the clinic. Okay, before you look, I gotta say one thing. I gave everyone there a chance to buy one of the one-of's before I got involved 'cause I didn't want to be a pig. Pete D. got the Silver Burst, I got the rest. Pictures do not do these beauties justice, when I saw them in person my jaw dropped.

Just got home (finally!!). Like Ernie said, awesome clinic, BP and JP were great and the one-offs were beautiful. Nice grab Ernie and Pete! It was great seeing JP again, meeting BP for the first time, seeing Pete D again, meeting petruccirocks02 and a couple other forum members I was shooting the $hit with in line waiting to meet JP/BP whose names I didn't catch.

Thanks again BP and JP for an awesome time.

Josh, I just got in and man that clinic was awesome. What a great time. It was awesome meeting you, Rob, and Rich. You guys are super friendly and it really made my night meeting you guys up there and shooting the breeze with you guys.

To BP: Thanks for remembering me, that really made me happy. Thanks for the signatures and pic and for putting together an awesome experience that really made this one of the best nights of the year for me. BTW, please make silverburst a production color. :D

To JP: You've been my biggest guitar hero for quite some time now and your playing truly inspires me. Your tone and playing today was great as well as the hospitality and kindness that you showed me and my friend Randi. Thanks for the signatures, and hopefully I can meet you again sometime, you're an amazing person.

Wow, of course ernie1966 gets 3 of them :D

How does the tone of each one differ from each other and the regular BFRs?

When JP played the Walnut one off at the clinic, it sounded thicker and punchier than the regular bfr's to my ears. JP even commented on how heavy it sounded.

I had to play a gig last night, unfortunately I couldn't come to this. I would have loved to have met you Sterling. Did you wear the pirate outfit?

Wow, Ernie, nice snags! I was really hoping to get that Tobacco Burst one-off! My Tobacco Burst BFR will be coming in about a week. Wanna trade?!

Glad the clinic was a success! Maybe it will be closer next time...

Is that the silverburst JP that was on display in the desert last fall? Congrats to both of you!
